The Lowside is like the grown-up version of the bike you used to ride as a kid, filled with dreams and ambition. It combines the thrill of singletrack riding with the versatility to serve as your go-to bike for casual outings, whether you’re hitting the trails or parking it outside your favorite pub.

The Lowside is a single-speed mountain bike, a concept deeply rooted in Surly’s history since the introduction of the 1x1 Rat Ride. Although the 1x1 was phased out after many years of adventurous rides and community events, the Lowside continues that legacy. It brings back the essence of the original 1x1, offering the same reliable and straightforward single-speed experience for modern riders

Features:

• Modern trail standards: dropper post compatibility, 44mm headtube, Gnot-Boost rear spacing, thru-axles
• Compatibility with most mountain bike standards makes it the perfect parts bin bike (no rim brakes allowed though)
• Spec'd in alternating years with 26 x 3” or 27.5 x 2.8” tires, the Lowside remains capable of running either option
